Hey, thanks for dropping by. Whether by accident or design, you're here now (quick, lock the doors!)
I am a multiple award-winning film critic, festival programmer, and poet based in Australia. I am on the Board of the Australian Film Critics Association (AFCA) and the Sydney Science Fiction Film Festival. As the Programming Operations Lead, I have also led the way in curating the inaugural Indian Film Festival of New Zealand (TIFFNZ), with a lineup embracing the breadth of diversity in language, culture and cinematic approaches representative of the subcontinent.
You can read my award-winning reviews of Neeraj Ghaywan's 'Homebound' and Payal Kapadia's 'All We Imagine as Light', along with other selected writing that's been published here. As someone from a culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) background and a lived experience of disability, I am passionate about exploring how critical discourse can help bring more marginalised voices into focus.
I was the resident film critic at 2SER 107.3 FM, co-hosting a weekly radio-based film program, broadcast every Wednesday evening 7.30 pm between 2017–2022. You can listen to the entire back catalogue of episodes that went to air here. I have served on the FIPRESCI juries for the 79th Locarno Film Festival and the 31st Kolkata International Film Festival, judging the International Competition selection for both festivals.
Longtime resident film critic and co-host of Film Fight Club, the weekly film programme on 2SER 107.3 FM, alongside Chris Evans and Glen Falkenstein.
Episodes aired every Wednesday evening at 7.30 pm. The show ran from 2017 to 2022. The full archive of previously aired episodes is available to stream. Click the links below to listen via Apple Podcasts or Spotify.
